The Writing Program creates a community of writers and fosters a culture of writing through inclusive learning environments where students develop as ethical, adaptable communicators. We advance exploration and discovery by combining intensive rhetorical study with innovative digital practices, preparing students to navigate complex communication challenges across professional, civic, and academic contexts.
Through partnerships with industry and community organizations, we encourage contribution and impact, empowering students to translate their skills into real-world solutions that serve the greater good. We envision education as a process without boundaries that prepares our majors and minors to drive meaningful change as communication leaders. Our students build bridges across disciplines, cultures, and communities, using writing and rhetoric to tackle society's most complex challenges.
